Beware: check product carefully – Third purchase got it right, but first two sent CP513-1H-S60F instead of CP513-1H-S338: The latter has 8GB RAM and lighted keyboard; former has 4GB RAM and non-lighted keyboard. That being said, this model, is great – very crisp display. After a week’s use, only recharged once! I am into the small size and light weight, fan-less design. Videos play fine. Chrome auto updates arrive till 2030 – if chromebook lasts that long I will be thrilled – no evidence that it will not based on what I’ve seen, but I’ve had two other die in 6 years (Asus C202PA-DB02 lasted 4 years, Lenovo Flex 5 13″ lasted 2!)Would be nice if it had an SD Card reader. I have not used the webcam – neither are not priorities for me.So far, so good!

This product is great, but be careful about ordering and getting what you want. I wanted a backlit keyboard, which the description said it had, but it didn’t. The provider told me I could return it or receive a partial refund. After using it, I was hesitant to send it back because it had everything else I wanted, including Chrome updates until 6/2030. I figured I could use the onscreen keyboard if I really needed a lighted keyboard, so I took the partial refund.I’m very happy with it so far.

There are 3 models of this Chromebook the 1h, 2h, and one that could be used with a sim card. The 1h the first model the one I bought has a 1080 screen with gorilla glass which is awesomeIt comes with a free bagThe build of the Chromebook is awesomePlenty fast, the fact that you can use this in different positions for viewing is awesome. The speakers are good for this Chromebook, but could be better.I’ve read that the brightness is 300 nits,I have compared this screen to other 250nits or 300nits displays if this really is a 300nit display? and I have to say that the colors and brightness of this screen is better thanks to the ips gorilla glass. But in the sun there is a glare, use this in the shade. The 2h model from what I have read has a 2k screen resolution , which is the one I really wanted, but also keep in mind that the 2h model is $300 more dollars then the 1h.I really recommend this 1h version, the battery charges very fast,I did a battery test for watching movies and tv on this and it lasted 6 hours and 30 minutes for video non stop, after 20 more minutes I had to charge it.So in closing, fast charging, gorilla glass ips screen 1080p, long lasting battery, good enough speakers, awesome design, it flips to use in many positions, and it’s fast when browsing the web,I really like this Chromebook, and the price is good for all that your getting.

The backlit keyboard is the feature that caused me to choose this Chromebook, combined with a competitive price. I’ve also had a positive experience with Acer products. This is a beautiful laptop! But, it has only one USB-C port; if you’re not willing to go wireless with mouse, printer, etc., you’re SOL! (It’s on the left side, too; if you’re using wired mouse, and you’re right handed, i’s a pain!) I regularly attach a USB drive, and so I would have liked an extra port; I got a wireless mouse to remedy the limitation. (It does appear USBC ports are rapidly going the way of the 8-track, though.)The battery life is not as robust as expected; the de facto brightness is not bright enough, at least for my eyes, making it necessary to amp up brightness; that hurts battery life. I took an 8-hour course where I was taking notes most of the day; I didn’t bring my power cord, believing I had enough power; I barely made it! That makes me skeptical enough not to leave the power cord at home next time; repowering takes minutes, though! I also wonder if it’s using up power even when off; sometimes, I’m surprised the power bar isn’t at 100% after I’ve charged it and turned it off; this is an anecdotal observation. It’s comfortable for typing, but heavy and unwieldy if you’re trying to hold onto it while watching videos lying in bed; but beautiful screen for watching stuff.Using it for what it’s designed for; i.e., as a laptop, has been great. In sum, I’m satisfied with my purchase and would recommend it to others.

Finally got sick of my Windows computers always needing updates that take forever and get slower each time. This computer is a rocket. Boots up instantly and works smoothly. I added a free AV and VPN. Doesn’t have any bloatware. Touch screen is nice and super clear. The keys have a quality feel and are backlit. My old computer had backlit keys but they were always on or off and if they were off, it was too difficult to see the keys. This computer lights up the keys from the bottom which is far better plus the light turns off if you aren’t typing for a few seconds then comes back on when you type. Even if the backlight is off, the keys are easy to see. Battery life is good if you shut it down each time. If you close the lid, it seems to still use battery power. If you are working continuously however, the battery life is excellent. The sound is poor. It is not a music machine. My old computer had excellent sound. This one is just good enough to hear whatever it is you need to hear. If you use bluetooth headphones or speakers, you’ll be fine. It is light weight and feels well built. Wish it had an HDMI but I knew it didn’t when I bought it. It does have a SIM slot though and bluetooth which is great. I went from a 14″ to this but it seems large because of the bezel being so slim with a narrow frame. It runs cool in your lap and doesn’t seem to have or need a fan. So far I am very happy with this computer. Definitely recommend.
