  1. My Public Name

The 55″ smart TV for a little over $300 (was on sale at the time) was delivered almost immediately. Was easy to assemble the “feet” and was already configured to connect to my network. It integrated my Recast almost instantly, without being prompted and was also easy to connect to an Echo Studio for “surround sound”. Well, not quite with just one of them, even with ATMOS content, but it beats the built-in speakers.Speaking of the Echo Studio, you lose the on-screen volume indicator and apparently can’t hold the volume buttons down, as you can when using the TV speakers. The former is irritating and the latter is just plain silly for such an expensive add-on.UPDATE:Added a second Studio and subwoofer and they were also easy to connect to the TV. Now it does surround sound about as good as an average sound bar, though will pale in comparison to high-end sound bars. Still, these have the potential for a lot more separation, as you can put the two speakers anywhere in the room. This makes for an amazing home theater experience in virtually any room. They appear to connect over ad hoc WiFi networks and the reliability is good, though it will occasionally drop the left or right channel (or both).Generally, it either snaps out of it in a minute or two or pausing and then playing or switching inputs or asking one of the speakers a question or whatever seems to make it reconnect. It’s mildly annoying, but have never had to stoop to unplugging anything to get around it. Can always switch back to the TV speakers in the Home Theater settings in a pinch, but that hasn’t been necessary here, at least not yet. And, as expected, the speakers play music on demand. Unexpectedly, the cover art, lyrics, playback controls, etc. are displayed on the TV. That’s a nice feature. It also integrated with my Ring cameras effortlessly, showing them in the PiP when people are detected. I think that’s the the threshold anyway (i.e. not just for motion). May be a Ring setting that controls this, but happy with the way it is working; though beware, Ring cameras sometimes fail to identify people. And speaking of the remote. The redesigned button layout is really stupid. The old layout was much easier to find the right buttons with your thumb. The new one is all uniform rows and columns of same-sized buttons. Maybe they thought that looked “cleaner”, but the ergonomics have taken a huge step backwards. Also wish they’d lose the dedicated buttons for Disney+, Hulu, etc. It’s advertising and only convenient for those who subscribe to the sponsors’ services.Still, couldn’t be happier at this price point. Picture looks great to me, though surely pales when compared to sets that cost twice as much. And, as expected, built-in speakers are not great, but soundbar support is rumored to be very good with this model (unlike some previous Amazon-branded TVs that I’ve owned).Hopefully it will last. I still use the other two I bought three years ago. And hopefully they’ll fix the stupid Alexa bug that prevents turning it on and off by name. (!) Yes, “Turn on Den TV” responds with “Den TV doesn’t support that”. (!!) Oddly enough, this “trick” works fine with the older models, though one of them will go into a “coma” once it is off more than a few minutes, foiling all attempts at automation until the remote is used to turn it back on (defeating the whole purpose). That happened about a year in and they never fixed it, no matter how much feedback I sent. The best advice they could offer was to factory reset the thing. :(Workaround for this new one is “Turn on Fire TV”, which is ridiculous and will only work with the linked smart speaker. Support was no real help, but supposedly they escalated the problem. I’ve heard that before, so won’t hold my breath. But at least it stays responsive in standby mode. For now anyway. :)UPDATE: Support indicated that the reason I am having problems with “Turn on Den TV” is that I had the Echo Dot linked to another TV previously. Yes, I did and I unlinked that one and linked Den TV. No idea what I was supposed to do differently, but sure seems like a bug.NBD, as I generally just tell it what I want to watch, rather than telling it to turn on. Still would be nice if I could turn it on and off from the other speakers in the house, as I can do with the other two TVs. No idea whether this bug will prevent using routines to turn the den TV on and off, as I haven’t tried that yet. They work with the others, except the one that goes into a coma.

I originally got the 43 inch it was a Black Friday deal so I jumped on it but it was great I moved in my own apartment so I got something I bit bigger it’s really nice as much as they take it really confusing that it like the thing it was out the delivery in Rochester US AMAZON JUST HAS A LOT OF BUGS RIGHT NOW I DON’T KNOW WHY but for the people that they complain saying it wasn’t a great TV it actually is and the person that recorded the video who said they just moved it from one room to another I definitely could tell a kid recorded that video and when you move something you have to be very careful and I could tell it was probably a kid who moved it and then wrote that review because the way the video was I could tell a kid probably moved it and done it and then like I said posted that one thing I know is I don’t go off the review on here because a lot of people just are lazy and don’t want to take the time to make sure something looks good and everything else so I go based off of approaches when I purchase it and if I have a problem then I will live here I don’t go off at any reviews on here because some people just like so don’t look at the reviews if you were to buy this thing go based off of your point of view buy it see how it is and if you don’t like it return it that’s why they have a return don’t go through the reviews because I worked at the reviews and I didn’t really listen to them because I wanted to see it from my own point of view so it is stuff we recommended beautiful TV great volume and in the near future go a little bit bigger but it’s nice

5 months ago, my best friend suggested i needed a new 55″ TV to go with my new-to-me home. I already have a 55″ LED tv in my bedroom and was using my 12 year old 50″ plasma TV in the living room. So I broke down and ordered this new 4K TV. I paid $360 with tax and it arrived in perfect condition. You can see by the first pic with 2 TVs. The Plasma is on the right, and the 4K LED is on the left. I must say the quality between the older plasma and this new one is stunning in real life. You really can’t see the video quality in the pic, but in real life it is incredible. I love the fact that I can stream from my phone right to the TV. Heck, I can also cast out from my laptop and create a second screen when i’m working on projects from home. One thing I noticed is that this TV did not fit my old TV stand as seen in pic 2 and 3 :( I had a choice of ordering either a new TV stand ($200-$400) or buying a new TV base for around $40. You can see the new stand in the last pic. I love the setup now and am super excited to have an all new living room setup for my new home. I also love that the TV does shut itself off after a while when pausing things and me not coming back into the room. My old TV may have sat turned on for a few hours because I got distracted with other things haha.

The TV works just as you would expect, mounted it in the sleeper of a semi truck. I’ve driven roughly 8,000 miles so far and down some extreamly bumpy roads and for its price its pretty darn durable. I would not attempt to put a TV any larger than a 43in in the sleeper berth of a semi. I had less than inches on either side of this installment. Also had to drill through side of the truck for the TV mount. The remote eats batteries, I’m assuming it’s because the microphone on it is constantly listening to us so it can create targeted ads lol.The TV itself only has only one button on it which isn’t very easy to use, to the point it’s not even worth attempting to watch tv without finding the remote first which I’m constantly loosing in the back of my truck.Would be 5 stars but I had to buy a Costco pack of triple A batteries

I purchased this TV as an upgrade to my old 32″ TV. For the price this is an excellent TV it might not have all the dohikis and figamagics but is still great. The picture on 4K UHD is amazing and crispy clear. The sound is not bad at all it is very clear and has very nice base without using a sound bar, however a sound bar would greatly improve the sound quality. I have no complaints or disappointments with this TV it delivers. I would recommend this TV to anyone who is looking for a nice TV if Dolby Vision or Atmos sound is not a priority. Very nice.

We have used fire sticks for other TV’s before this purchase (and still do), so why not just get a Fire TV? No bad surprises with this purchase. The nice surprise is the total memory is 12 GIG. This is double the 4K-Max fire stick.Nice picture for a 50″ TV at such a low price. We use a sound-bar off of the optical output since NO TV that is an inch thick has any chance of producing quality audio. We bought a 2nd one for a different location, and no problems with either one.

The tv works, so that’s a plus. It was on sale when I got it as well. My only issue is that about half the time when I press the Prime video button, it will start taking me there. I then have to enter the passcode (I have childproof settings enabled). It freezes, shuts off, and then after a few minutes I can press the Amazon prime video button again. It says loading in the bottom left and eventually loads. I then have to put the passcode in again, and then again if I’m watching anything over PG rating. It’s annoying and inconvenient, especially if you have limited time and just want to quickly watch something while your kiddo is busy.

why would a person want a pop up to say your battery remote is low, every few minutes. do we not have brains, to tell us,we need a new battery. first of all we have 2 remotes and how annoying is it to pop up a hundred times, while you are trying to watch subtitles to Borgen, and cover them. It will not stop. once would have been enough. what if you don’t have a battery.there are so many what ifs. the first night, we were so upset, because the picture was so terrible, it looked like the actors were outside your window and rehearsing for a show and it was very disturbing. that’s how smart the t v was. we finally figured out how to change everything.the sound quality is not very loud. it’s the same as our 99.00 t v .

We are Prime members, so we get some perks. All’s I had to do was plug this thing in, it did some updates, and bam! All of our stuff was already loaded, and we didn’t have to sign into anything except Hulu Live+. Everything else was ready to go! We love it! It’s Bluetooth feature is great for our outdoor setting to hear better. Ours is mounted outside, and under a roof, but we have a fold up mount and cover to protect it as well. We’ll see how long it lasts in the elements.
